We put on the corner of the table one candle and with this ,we represent the arrive light of each deceased. Is important to mention that in the middle of the table we collocate a portrait of the person who dead.
After that we collocate some food such as:
- 7 sugar skulls.
- 7 candies of pumpkin.
- Seeds
- 7 chocolates cups.
- A bottle of tequila
- A glass of water.
- 7 tortillas
- 7 grains of corns.
- 7 grains of beans.
And spines to avoid being disturbed by evil spirits . Also we put a figure that represent the Scuinthli , It is a dog in nahuathl that meaning guardian of the altar.
At the end ,people create a way of cempasuchi flower because people in our town believe that with this way ,all the souls, will return at the sky and at the journey to other world , lasting seven years , after witch they will leave eventually.
This tradition finish on November 2nd, when the churches of the town rang bells at noon because the souls leave their homes to return at the other world.
hi Diani! I think it should be: ...a portrait of the person who is dead.
ResponderBorrarand I didn't understand very well when you explain why you make a way with marigold petals.
It is interesting I didn't know about the seven things of each thing. Thanks for your information.
Hello girls!
ResponderBorrarWhen you say "because this number represent the number" I think it is better to say "because this represents.... In your sentence you forgot to put S in third person. Later you say "souls that are in the sky" and I think is who "souls who are in the sky.
You have to put a comma when you say "After that(,)
You forgot to put This tradition finish(ES)
Good job!
Hi Dianita and Andrea, I think it was a good job girls just check this:
ResponderBorrar1.- in the fisrt paragraph , it sounds a little bit redundant, i think it could be better if youu say: we put seven things of each element, because it represents the number of the souls...
2.- I don´t know what you mean with: we represent the arive light of each deceased. I think You meant: with the light, or its light, we represent the arrival of each deceased.
3.- you missed a pronoun in the fourth line of the first paragraph. IT is...
4.- the person who HAS died, instead of: who dead.in the las part of the first paragraph.
5.- Pumpkin candies, instead of: candies of pumpkins. It sounds very literal.
6.- I think it is better if you use "path" instead of "way".
7.- look for the meaning of the word "witch" in the last paragraphs.
8.- This tradition finishes on... is better to say that.
9.- And i think it is: to the other world, instead of: at but i´m not sure that all, i´ll investigate. :)
Hi girls!
ResponderBorrarI like how them explained the tradition of their town, by the way in their list I feel that them must explain better , For example : In my town our put 7 tortillas becuase it has been a tradicion since past .
well you can use which instead of and with this we
In summary their job is good.
